ACCOMMODATION IN GENEVA
Action “A mattress, a roof”
Any master's or doctoral student without funding can request assistance from the PAST association of prehistoric archaeology students to find free accommodation during their stay. If you bring an inflatable mattress (camping mat or similar) and a sleeping bag, you will be accommodated free of charge by a student at the University of Geneva.

Dimensions and format
- Required format: A0 vertical (portrait, H = 1189 mm × W = 841 mm)

Poster prize
- Honorary prize awarded to the authors of the best poster.
- Automatic eligibility for any communication submitted in poster format by the deadline for calls for communication.
- Posters will be posted on Discord for review by the awards committee.

Design tips
Attracting attention
- Readers spend an average of 30 seconds to 5 minutes in front of a poster.
- The poster must be attractive, legible, and easy to read.
- The title should be legible from 5 m away, and the text from at least 1 m away.
- Add: name, email address, authors, affiliations, logos.
Legibility
- Use sans serif fonts: Arial, Helvetica, etc.
- Avoid sentences in capital letters.
- Use bold, limit italics.
- Choose a sober color scheme with sufficient contrast between background and text.
Content
- Guide the reader: clear layout, possibly with arrows.
- Balance text and images: approximately 50/50.
- Use keywords, avoid long sentences.
- Favor images and figures, limit tables.
- Importance of blank space: ideally
