Dear colleagues,
We are relaying this motion of no confidence, which already has nearly 4000 signatories. We leave it to your discretion whether or not to add your signature. Like the Rogue ESR collective, we assume no responsibility for this motion; we are merely relaying it. Here is the message from the researchers’ collective:
“As you know, the CEO of CNRS has just revealed his intention to develop a ‘KeyLabs’ label, which would be awarded to approximately a quarter of France’s laboratories. These ‘KeyLabs’ would then receive the majority of human and financial resources (and, of course, to the detriment of the remaining 75% of labs). This is a direction that, for several of us, is totally unacceptable. The brutality with which A. Petit intends to impose it seems to us to demand an extremely firm response. Therefore, we have taken the initiative to draft a ‘motion of no confidence’ against A. Petit and call for the withdrawal of this project and his resignation: https://framaforms.org/motion-de-defiance-pdg-cnrs-1736518552
